David Suchet stars as the enigmatic, eccentric and extremely intelligent Belgian detective. In four movie length episodes he pits his wits and little grey cells against first class deceivers and murderers. Poirot is ably assisted by Miss Lemon and Hastings, his reliable side kick.
VOLUME 1
1. DUMB WITNESS: Mystical premonitions, family and suspicious murders ruin Poirot’s plans to go and watch an attempt to break the world water speed record. Bob, the terrier dog, is the only one who knows who the murderer really is.
2. HERCULE POIROT’S CHRISTMAS: Poirot is asked to spend Christmas with Simeon Lee at his Gorston Hall home. When Lee is found lying in a pool of blood, his throat cut and his diamonds stolen, Poirot is soon on hand.
VOLUME 2
3. HICKORY DICKORY DOCK: Miss Lemon’s sister is being troubled by unexplained thefts in her London student hostel and Poirot decides to visit her. Further thefts and the poisoning of Celia Austin, Poirot finds himself in a race against time to trap a killer.
4. MURDER ON THE LINKS: Poirot and Hastings are called upon by Paul Renauld who claims he’s being defrauded by Chileans. But the situation turns sinister when Renauld is abducted and his wife is left bound and gagged in their bedroom.
