The Miracle of Candeal begins with the internal journey of Bebo Valdes and concludes with an explosion of music, sensuality and the popular feast of the carnival of Bahia. The film recounts Bebos journey to Candeal, a journey that is both alive and real for the spectator, leaving no one indifferent. We all participate in the story of a community in Bahia which tries to improve its life through art, fighting as it does both resignation and fate.
