Poland, 1939, Antonina Zabinski (Jessica Chastain) and her husband are the devoted custodians of the beloved Warsaw Zoo. Then one day, their whole world is rocked to the core, the nazis invade Poland and establish the horrific Warsaw Ghetto. Now in a time chaos and brutality, the brave Zabinski family risk everything by covertly working with the Resistance to smuggle hundreds of Jews out of the ghetto to hide them in the zoo.
